The Patan Academy of Health Sciences is a public non-profit tertiary academic institution dedicated to improving Nepal's rural health by training health workers for rural Nepal.
PAHS is dedicated to sustained improvement of the health of the people in Nepal, especially those who are poor and living in rural areas, through innovation, equity, excellence and love in education, service and research.
The goal of PAHS is that its graduates will not only provide severely needed medical care in rural Nepal, but will also eventually become leaders in health care policy,

Basic Life Support (BLS) is critical, immediate care for life-threatening emergencies, such as cardiac arrest or choking, crucial for keeping patients alive until professional help arrives.

The Eighteenth PAHS Day was celebrated under the chairpersonship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Buddhi Prasad Paudyal, graced by the Honorable Minister for Health and Population.
Professor Dr. Nabees Man Singh Pradhan has been appointed as the Dean of the School of Medicine at Patan Academy of Health Sciences.
Professor Dr. Shrijana Shrestha has been appointed as the Rector at Patan Academy of Health Sciences as per the Ministry of Health and Population decision.
